All we require is your name and email address. We will then send you a confirmation email with the password. You can change the password at any time once you have logged in, simply by clicking your name and then account settings.
Once you have logged in you are ready to upload your files. Simple as that!
Just create a folder in the "New Folder" tab at the top of the page, name it for example "Photos" then upload or move all photos to that folder. You can also create as many folders as you like to help keep your account as organised as possible. Its as simple as that!
Once a file is added to Firedrop, it's then uploaded Firedrop's secure online servers. All files that are stored online by Firedrop are encrypted and kept in secure storage servers. The storage servers are provided by a managed service provider, and they are located in data centres across the world!
Storage space! The Professional account has 1TB of storage space whilst the Business account has an UNLIMITED storage space. Which is perfect for small to large businesses and corporations, Or even just the average user who doesn't want any restrictions on the amount they upload.
Absolutely! If your in need of some extra storage just click the Extend Account on the top of your own Firedrop page. The account will be upgraded instantly from the moment you make the initial payment.
If however you wish to downgrade, simply follow the same instructions as above and you will be downgraded to the selected account from when your next payment was due. This means you will remain with the previous amount of storage space until the payment date.
Please note, once you have begun your new downgraded account you will be required to remove files to stay within the usage limit of the new account if necessary.
You can let others view files simply by providing them with the link to that file. The link is located at the top of the page when you open up said file. No one else can see these files unless they have the link you provide them.
Absolutely not! Your files are safe and secure on your account. However, if you wish to upload more files you will need to either upgrade your account or download the older files to be within the usage limit of the new account.
Great! We encourage all of our users to tell us how we can improve Firedrop for them. We will be shortly introducing a Change Log, where all of our users can tell us what they think will improve their experience.

Nope! If we ever increase our pricing plans, all current users will remain on their agreed price when they first registered. The increased plans will only affect users who register after the new pricing infrastructure is implemented.
You can keep track of the subscription information such as account type and expiry date in the account edit page; firedrop.com/account_edit.html. Once on this page just click "Finance" and the information will be made available.
You can remove a folder simply by right clicking the folder and clicking delete. To remove the file, simply click the file you wish to delete and then click the delete button on the files page. Remember there is a trash can, so you can restore any files you may have deleted accidentally.
You can protect your Firedrop by first choosing a secure password. Something not associated with you like name or DOB. Try using upper case letters and numbers in the password too.
You can also make sure all your files are password protected simply by right clicking the file or folder, edit, then create password. Also make sure the files are set to private and are not shared. This information will be in the file edit page when you right click the file.
Here at Firedrop, security is our top priority. We have an experienced and skilled security team using the best tools and practices available to maintain Firedrop, and you can be assured that we have implemented various levels of security to protect your files.
Other Firedrop users can not see your files in Firedrop unless you deliberately share them to public. Firedrop employees are prohibited from viewing the content of the files you store in your account. Employees may access file metadata if legally required to do so, or for technical support reasons. But we will exhaust all avenues before this is required.

Only in rare circumstances will we remove links. If you have a link removed it could be due to a number of reasons. One of them being a copyright infringement. If it is a copyright issue then we are legally obligated to remove that file/link. Another reason for a removed file is if the file has been reported or flagged for abuse, as referred to in out T&C's.
